Markel Latin America started operations in 2010 with offices in Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Bogotá. We offer reinsurance products to clients in South America, Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico.
The structure of our operations offers clients flexibility and the possibility to choose, to subscribe businesses in the region, operate with Markel International Insurance Company Limited, our union in Lloyds and Alterra Resseguradora do Brasil SA (our local Brazilian reinsurer), all companies with broad financial backing.
